Free CSS website template 1441 - Portfolio
I was recently asked often by portfolio or gallery websites. Unfortunately, there 'it still does not submit to me. That changes with today's day and the free template "portfolio".

On a total of 5 main pages you have the opportunity to present your text and images. In the area of the gallery I have provided further subdivisions. The layout of the gallery and the website I've implemented with CSS. All CSS parameters are stored in a separate style sheet file.
Plugin settings can be made to the accompanying JavaScript file.
For the placeholder images within the template I have pictures of adigitaldreamer.com and "amygdela's Atmosphere" is used.

I studied with great interest the offer of the website template for photo portfolio. Would like for my hobby like to set up something like that. For this purpose, the following questions:
Can I (modify, supplement) intervene directly without much prior knowledge as a layman in the design of the homepage?
I do not want the photographer's caption images directly see in the picture. Can you change it?
Is it possible to set up a page for comments of the visitors?
It would be nice or a "visitor click counter"!

I am often asked whether we as a lay person in a position to adapt the templates to your own needs and I always find it difficult this with a clear yes or no answer
The templates consist of (X) HTML, CSS and instructions in case of portfolio layouts also made a little JavaScript. To modify a template, one should at least deal with HTML and CSS to an understanding of the code to develop and make changes to. Both are not "rocket science".
HTML and CSS, are contrary to make publications, but no programming simple, descriptive scripting language which I believe are erlenen slightly. The devil is, as in many other things here in detail - for example in the browser compatibility.
Conclusion: In my opinion, you can customize the templates as a layman - but it also depends on how far you're willing to deal with HTML and CSS.

The Max display of images is fixed. The box provided the dimension of 582 × 372 pixels.
About the CSS file I have defined that all images in this container always have a width of 582 pixels (the height is automatically adjusted proportionally).

If I leave the pictures in portrait view, they are always positioned at the left edge, there is a possibility that large images to be centered in the viewer?

Hello,
I have looked at the picture gallery. I really liked, so I downloaded it.
Looks very professional and is almost exactly what I wanted.
When the image size I'm assuming that the CSS must change. I work at the px Thumps with 100 × 100, are 250 × 250 px and in the large image with 700 × 700th I've put together this out myself, but my site more professional design. I'm Programmierlaie!
The smaller pictures are clear for me, but how can the large 700 × 700 to weave the web that are all the pictures one unit? So, the background does not deviate from the overall design?
